STATE OF EMERGENCY FOR NAPIER !!
DUE TO CIVIL DEFENCE WARNINGS FOR NAPIER REGION
Evacuations are well under way across Napier to assist whānau that have been caught up in the flooding,
Omahu Marae has responded to a call for Marae to open up and support these Whānau and have set up 200 beds to take any evacuees that have nowhere to go,
Hapu members have came together to help set up beds tables chairs, and have cooks on standby,
We are hoping this will help with the overload across Motels and holiday parks ,
through updates being made on their facebook page they as a Hapu / community are ready for the call to help.
